Healthcare & Life Sciences Private Equity Deal Tracker: Bain Capital Private Equity to Acquire PSA Healthcare

PSA Healthcare has announced it has agreed to be acquired by a newly formed affiliate of Bain Capital Private Equity.

In December 2016, Bain Capital Private Equity agreed to acquire Epic Health Services. As a result of the PSA acquisition, Epic Health Services and PSA will combine.

PSA, based in Atlanta, is a provider of pediatric and adult home care, with more than 75 locations in 16 states.

Epic Health Services, based in Dallas, is a provider of pediatric private duty skilled nursing, therapy, developmental services and home medical solutions, which served patients in 21 states in 2016.

Bain Capital Private Equity, with North American offices in Boston and New York, invests in several industries, including healthcare. The firm has made investments in hospitals, pharmaceuticals, medical products manufacturers, distributors and service providers.

The transactions are expected to close late in the first quarter of 2017. Financial terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
