ALung Technologies, Inc., has announced it has raised $15.8 million in series B-1 financing.
ALung Technologies, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., develops and manufactures lung assist devices.
The financing round was led by Carmel, Ind.-based Allos Ventures, which was joined by West Capital Partners, Birchmere Ventures, BlueTree Capital Group, PLSG Accelerator Fund, Smithfield Trust Company and several additional private investors.
It will primarily support commercialization of ALung’s Hemolung respiratory assist system, which provides a dialysis-like alternative or supplement to mechanical ventilation.
